On June 4, 2003, Brad Scherer, President of The Atlantic Western Companies, accepted council appointment to the Village of Wellington Equestrian Committee. The Equestrian Committee is a citizen based, real estate and land use advisory panel focused on land planning and municipal issues critical to the sustenance of Wellington's vibrant Equestrian Industry. Mr. Scherer previously served on this panel as one of its original members when the Village was initially incorporated in 1996-7, and also served on the Village's Comprehensive Land Use Task Force, Land Use Planning Committee and Wetlands Task Force; all of which assisted in the initial incorporation of the Village and adoption of its comprehensive plan.
